Well, we're almost at the end of what has been a very strange and difficult year for you humans and from what I overheard today from the volunteers as they walked past me, it's still not looking good.
We have not been able to open to the public and hold our usual fundraising events which has been pretty devastating, but my pals and I are extremely grateful for all the support that you have given us throughout the year by sponsoring, taking part in our on-line raffles and by making general donations. Without you we can't begin to imagine what life would be like for us.
Our volunteers have been amazing in turning up every day to look after us and give everyone extra cuddles and fuss because they know we are missing seeing you, the public.
As we settle down to enjoy our Christmas dinner, we will raise a glass of Adam's ale in grateful thanks to you and hope for better times next year.
Just before I go off to find my friend Trixie to have a bit of a natter - on behalf of all my furry and feathered friends, the Trustees and the volunteers – we all wish you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year and we so look forward to seeing you sometime next year.
