This privacy notice has been created to make sure you have a good understanding of what personal information the ABC animal sanctuary (we/us) process in relation to you, why we process it, what we do with it and your rights.
Personal information is information about you that will allow someone to identify you. For instance your name and address are considered personal information.
Why do we collect personal information?
We collect and keep your personal information so that we can a) communicate to you about events, b) if you are a donor process donations either ad hoc or regular donations, c) if you are a volunteer to ensure your safety and security, d) if you bring in your or someone else’s animal for our care to process change in legal ownership to us, e) if you
adopt an animal for preparing and execute the contract between you and us.
What personal information we collect?
We will collect and keep your name, address, phone number, and email address. We may also collect your bank account details, next of kin, emergency contact details and any medical conditions you wish to disclose.
Passing on your personal information to others?
We will not sell your personal information to anyone else.
We may pass on your personal information to our bank, our insurance company and to authorities to comply with laws and regulations.
How long do we keep your personal information?
We will keep your personal information for as long as you decide to provide donations, are an active volunteer, and for the duration of any contract we entered into. If we have any legal obligation to keep your information for longer we will be obliged to do so.
How to access your personal information we hold?

Rights to make changes or request deletion
You always have the right to request us to make changes to any information about you that is not correct. You also have the right to ask us to delete your information. If you ask us to delete information about you this may impact the ability for us to collect donations or keep you as a volunteer.
Marketing
We may send you information about us, our events, updates on the animals and our annual program of open days. We will not send you any marketing material unless you have given us your explicit consent.
Opt out of Marketing
If you receive marketing material because you have provided your consent, you can withdraw such consent at any time by simply email us at DataProtection@abcanimalsanctuary.co.uk
