Like Peggy Bart came to us from The Retreat Rescue Centre in Kent. Again, like Peggy he had been kept as a house pig. He was much loved and well cared for but as you can see Bart is a big boy and eventually outgrew living in a house.

It transpires that Bart somehow managed to dislocate his shoulder when he was a house pig and had to have a rare operation to insert a metal plate to fix this and ensure it didn’t keep happening. Bart is a fighter and came through this well making a full recovery.

Bart is a lovely friendly chap and adores playing with water when the volunteers fill his wallow or water bucket. He drinks the water from the hose and rolls around in his wallow and in any hay that has been dropped on the ground. Bart often gets the zoomies and is very playful!

We are hopeful that Bart and Peggy will soon be able to be in the same enclosure, once they get to know each other a bit better.
