Meet the resident pigs

Ant and Dec the two 2 year old Vietnamese Pot-bellied pigs are recent arrivals . We took them in after Hazel and Acorn died at the age of 17 and 16 respectively. The vet said she had never seen such old pigs and they certainly had a wonderful life at the sanctuary as they were free to roam around it.

After a bad start in life the 2 Pot-bellied porcine brothers  are extremely grateful to be with us and are tucked up in their large straw-filled hut.Like their predecessors they are free to roam and rootle around and are now almost full-sized.

They had been bought by a father for his children who had swiftly tired of them and had started to neglect them. They were brought to the attention of an RSPCA inspector who rang us and asked us if we could take them on as soon as possible.
