Jack and Jill were rescued by us when their owner became very ill. Jill has deformed back legs but the vet assures us she is not in any pain and can enjoy a reasonably normal life. Soon after arriving little Jack was so fragile he became very sick and had to undergo a long course of antibiotics. He has now put on weight but is still cosseted with a raincoat in bad weather, extra vitamins and - like the other Shetlands - warm stabling at night.
