As with many of our rescued animals Raffles was a victim of a divorce. His owner had to go back to work and in the dark winter months she would not have seen him at all or been able to take care of him as the light faded at 4.00pm. Raffles is a bit of a ‘prima donna’ as he was an only pony and he has to be stabled on his own or he otherwise kicks out at the other ponies. However, out in the large field he gets along with the other ponies quite well and loves the attention of the volunteers.
