Fluff our oldest feline resident dies (February 17, 2010)Sadly Fluff our oldest cat died yesterday. He arrived at the sanctuary 8 years ago with his 2 friends Gustav and Ginger. Their owner had died and the relatives had asked that the 3 perfectly fit thirteen year olds be put down. The vet called us and fortunately we had an empty large cattery to accomodate them. As they were already middle-aged nobody wanted them but they lived a happy country existence catching mice and racing up and down trees. Ginger, the oldest died three years ago and then Gustav last year . Fluff- so called because he was a fluffy apricot feline then moved himself into the house and lived on to the grand age of 21. He was fit until the end and died quickly and peacefully leaving behind his other friends Otto aged 18, Whispa aged 13 and Alfie (with no teeth) a 20 year old. He was a courageous ,gentle old fellow and will be much missed.
