William is too fond of his new home! (September 28, 2009)William the stray tabby who was found wandering around West Chiltington has been rehomed. The kind couple who wanted him had had ferals before. William was too affectionate to be called a feral but I did think as a stray he would probably be the right answer for a couple with a lovely house and large garden who were out at work all day. I thought he would enjoy roaming about in the day time and enjoy the creature comforts of his new house when they came home in the evening. Well the news is from his bemused owners that he won't go outside or if he does it is for two minutes and then he rushes back in. I have a feeling he may have been abandoned when his previous owners moved house so that now he has a house of his own once again he is afraid to leave it and much prefers the security and comfort of the inside to the great outdoors he has been used to. Lucky William but not what was expected of him at all!
