A mini shetland and a little Welsh A pony rescued in the nick of time. (September 03, 2009)Sometimes I think the internet is truly wonderful at getting people -and animals -together. Once before we collected 4 mini Shetlands on a Thursday that were due to be put down on a Friday. They went on to a lovely home in the country with 2 other tiny Shetlands. On this occasion we had an e mail from someone looking for 2 mini Shetlands and at the same time heard about the much-loved mini Shetland and little Welsh A pony due to be put down imminently because their owner was in a wheel chair and could no longer look after them. We put the person who wanted the ponies in touch with the person who could no longer keep them and---success. The 2 little equines will shortly be in their new home with a nice field and stables.
