Phoebe the donkey the hit of the Ashington Fair (August 19, 2009)The Ashington Fair proved to be a very lively event, Alexandra Bastedo (me) opened it but the real star of the occasion proved to be Phoebe the brown and white donkey. She was positively mobbed by her young fans and had to retreat into the ABC Sanctuary marquee for a bit of privacy! Pip the young dobermann was already in there but I am pleased to say the two hit it off and remained there contentedly for the rest of the day..
