All systems go! (June 03, 2009)Our Open Days approach and with the huge input of all our wonderful volunteers we are almost ready. There will be large signs everywhere to the ABC Sanctuary at the bottom of Juggs Lane in West Chiltingtom and we have been given 3 minibuses which will be operating every few minutes between the huge car park field on Smock Alley opposite Haglands Lane to the animal sanctuary. There is also a pleasant walk on a public footpath through the fields to the sanctuary which will also be signed - about 10 mins- for those who are more energetic! We are open from 11am ( we have to get all the animals cleaned and fed before we can open up to the public) and close at 4pm -which is the time the animals will start calling to be put to bed! So there is a lot going on behind the scenes too.There are also contingency plans as the weather is supposed to be getting cooler with our large barn, 2 marquees and several gazebos so hopefully a good time will be had by all!
